Cape Verde (Cabo Verde), Kapverden, Cape Verde Islands, an african insular state with alltogether 15 islands, nine of them are inhabited. Cape Verde Islands are located in the Mid Atlantic, 460 kilometers in front of the westcoast of Africa. The islands distinguish between islands above the wind (Barlavento) and islands under the wind (Sotavento). View from Mindelo Harbour to the Island Sao Vicente (Windward Islands) over the harbour in north direction.
